Martinez was approached by a partner rescue organization to care for Scottie, who was described as having limited back legs. She agreed, and upon meeting Scottie, was determined to help him adapt. „They were like, ' Oh, by the way, he doesn't have much in the way of back legs,'”Martinez recalled.
