Chewy’s Three‑Story Cat House Looks Like a Tiny Coastal Cottage

Exterior Design and Dimensions

The cat house is a compact wooden shelter, 37 inches tall with a base of 22 by 23.2 inches. It features two cat entrances and three distinct interior levels, giving cats multiple places to explore. The façade is light blue with white trim, sliding doors, and a reddish‑brown roof, creating a beach‑house vibe.

Price and Versatility

Priced at $80.81, the unit is marketed for outdoor use but can be placed indoors. Multiple openings allow easy entry and exit, and gaps between levels let cats climb freely.

Construction Features

The shelter has a waterproof finish and plastic caps inside the doors to block wind and rain. A raised floor promotes airflow, keeping moisture away. The flat roof serves as a lookout spot; one owner noted cats love to perch there for a view before retreating inside.

Customer Reviews

A user who keeps several shelters inside described, „Wild cats save us!” and explained that the family named their pets after U. S. presidents, calling the shelters „presidential suites.” Photos show several blue houses lined up with cats settling in.

Size Limitations

Many reviewers point out the small openings and interior spaces. Chewy recommends a maximum weight of 15 pounds. One owner said his 13‑pound cat with long legs struggled to move between levels, suggesting the unit suits smaller felines.

Assembly Experience

Some find assembly simple with a power drill; others call it a „two‑person project” that takes about three hours solo, using a magnetic screwdriver for small screws. A long‑time customer painted the structure immediately with exterior latex paint, noting it lasted years and recommending sealing if kept outdoors. Another user mentioned rain still entering through the open door despite an 18‑inch opening, highlighting the importance of placement.
