Rescuers act quickly to save her life

One of the first steps taken by rescuers was amputating her infected front leg. Even before surgery, Delilah struggled to stand or move comfortably. She tried to hop on three legs, but mobility was extremely difficult. The amputation meant a major adjustment to her daily life, yet she faced it with courage and determination.

Delilah embraces her new life with joy

After recovery, Delilah became full of energy and enthusiasm. She now moves easily around the house, eager to explore and play. She no longer fears following her owners, other dogs, or toys, even without a leg. Nothing seems to hold her back from enjoying life to the fullest.

A transformation that amazed everyone

„Her transition was immediate and absolutely amazing,”said Chris Hughes in an interview with The Dodo. „Delilah came out of her shell and embraced everything around her.”She loves her owners deeply and never hesitates to kiss them all. She gets along well with the other dogs in the home. Hughes founded Mr. Mo’s Project to help senior dogs adjust to new homes. Now, he and his wife foster dozens of dogs, including both temporary and permanent residents.

A new collar marks a new beginning

When meeting Delilah, Chris Hughes gave her a new collar as a welcome gift. She no longer fears the future or worries about survival. Her only thought now is whether she loves everyone around her enough. Despite her missing leg and slightly uneven smile, no one can resist her optimism and vibrant spirit, which shines through every time she enters a room.
